Zachary Quinto Goes Indie

For those who have been wondering what Zachary Quinto has been up to after the "Star Trek" reboot movie, Red Dot Diva can give you the deets.

Yep, that's how "Spock" looks like without those pointy ears. Still a handsome fella. ;)

Zachary Quinto has been busy doing "indie things". He began a production company called Before The Door with his friends, Neal Dodson, Corey Moosa and Sean Akers.

In 2010, Before The Door also produced an indie film entitled "Margin Call" written and directed by J.C. Chandor. The movie tells the story of how a investment company dealt with a financial meltdown in Wall Street.

"Margin Call" saw many high-profile actors like Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Demi Moore and Penn Badgley joining the cast. Zachary Quinto also starred as an analyst in the production.

"Margin Call" recently premiered at the Sundance Festival 2011, and Red Dot Diva pointed out that it was the second film to be sold to USA distributors there. Reviews for the movie have been mostly positive.

Not satisfied with just "Margin Call", Zachary also indulged in another indie film. He joined various cast members like Danny Devito, Alexis Bledel, Carla Gugino and Josh Hartnett to act in a specially web-distributed film entitled "Girl Walks Into A Bar". This comedy film was written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez.

Red Dot Diva says you should check out the really fun sexy trailer for "Girl Walks Into A Bar" right here! The movie is released on Hulu and YouTube on March 11th, 2011! It's only a mouse click away!

So what about the 2012 "Star Trek" sequel? It seems that the production for the sequel may very well be delayed because of Chris Pine's (Captain Kirk) busy schedule. Recently, co-writer and producer Roberto Orci mentioned that the script will be delivered in late March 2011. That might mean that production will start in the later part of 2011.
