| 03.14.2013 – Epic is coming to the big screen in 2013 based on William Joyce's children book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs. It’s teaser trailer has been seen in local cinemas recently and has started to pick up some interest due to viewers reaction.
Director Chris Wedge (Ice Age) returns with "Epic," his latest animated fantasy about a young girl who discovers a battle between good and evil starring the voices of Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Jason Sudeikis, Beyonce Knowles, Josh Hurcherson and Christoph Waltz. |
The premise tells the story of Amanda Seyfried’s character Mary Katherine, a teenage girl who discovers a magical world in the forest where a massive battle is being waged between good and evil forces.
Mary's eccentric dad (Sudeikis) is convinced that pint-sized leaf men and similar fantastical creatures reside in the depths of a nearby forest. He turns out to be correct, but is unaware that Mary is magically shrunk down to their size and becomes embroiled in an ongoing battle of gigantic proportions to save the mystical lush kingdom.
"Epic" will open May 24, 2013 in theaters nationwide from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
