Celebrate 2013 with Power Rangers 20!

07.12.2013 – The Power Rangers series concept is based from the Super Sentai of shows from Japan that began in the early 1970s. However Power Rangers was born in the mid-1990s with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The original Super Sentai shows where not an English dub and the Power Rangers is new production with English-speaking actors spliced in with the original Japanese footage to varying ratios.

Due to the very Japanese nature of many of Sentai's stories, the American adaptations are generally changed to fit its Western audience.

Saban Entertainment acquired the rights to produce the series of shows from 1993 to 2002 which acquired the rights by Walt Disney Television. But by 2010 Saban Brands bought the Power Rangers franchise including all worldwide rights and property from the Walt Disney Company. This also initiated a partnership with Nickelodeon the follow year

History with Power Rangers has produced popularity other than the original Super Sentai series from Japan. It brought interest in the Western markets that this kind of concept can make it outside Japan represented in a different way that other cultures would appreciate.

This is the year the Power Rangers franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary dubbed “Power Rangers 20” a major event for those who followed the series.

The event is a yearlong celebration not only promoting the latest series “Power Rangers Super Megaforce” but also in conjunction with the public relations event which include several Power Rangers-related media and merchandise are being released. Also several appearances were made.

There will be 20th Anniversary released toy line, an appearance at the Licensing Expo 2012, Power Rangers full seasons on DVD, Macy's Thanksgiving parade, and Power Rangers Megaforce. There will also coming out with Power Rangers Action Card Game and Power Rangers Legends iOS game.

But what’s so cool about celebrating Power Rangers after 20 years? It’s the Red Rangers who represent each of the series from the beginning like this in the video...

The White Ranger as well as all the Red Rangers up to Megaforce represents the Power Rangers. Quantum Ranger brings the number of Rangers representing to 20. But the female Red Samurai Ranger took the White Ranger's place in Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade to lead the celebration.

If you grew up watching the Power Rangers series then you know it’s time to celebrate and power up the 20th anniversary Power Morphin style!
