| 09.17.2013 – Derrick Rose was recently in town to promote his #drosetour in Asia which started with his arrival in last Saturday night’s adidas Originals event surprising visitors that he has finally returned to the Philippines.
Then adidas held the 3on3 Grand Finals which Derrick Rose graced the event with local personalities. By Sunday he held a press conference at the Marriott Hotel in the morning and for his last schedule for the tour culminated with the Gaming Challenge a videogame tournament at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium. |
The gaming challenge participants include one member from each 3on3 team, local celebrities, and bloggers. This would probably the last time the NBA 2K13 game will be used for the competition as the upcoming predecessor is already being pre-ordered.
Cool prize awaits which is worth PhP 20,000.00 pesos ($ 460.00 US) and gets to play against Derrick Rose himself on NBA2K13 for the Playstation 3.
Pound for Pound host Rico Robles provides the energy in this four hour event that has 32 participants taking the challenge until one man left standing to go up against D Rose in the final round and win it all. But of course that winner who faced Derrick in the final round was one point short and it gave the former 2011 league MVP a scare of being beaten in the game.
