STGCC 2013: The 501st SG Diorama!

09.09.2013 – The Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention is a multi-genre event that highlights the best and brightest but also promoting the local scene that appreciate every aspect of pop culture and urban lifestyle.

There are participating retailers as well as organization that promotes charities and one group that has been present since STGCC in 2008 is the The 501st Legion based in Singapore which every year organize a theme they represent in the annual event.

Not only they do the annual trooping at STGCC they also promote the fandom of being a Star Wars fan and what more exciting than showing their participation through their passion in making every convention interested to drop by their booth. Last year their theme for the diorama involved some huge piece of LEGO sets.

For this year they opted out for one simple diorama which would be an interesting experience for those who pass by their booth and that is of course the centerpiece of their own attraction for just being a Star Wars fan.

The diorama is about the “Battle of Endor” featuring Star Wars action figures reenacting the scene from “Return of the Jedi” and there was also a note that you search for something oddly different for this diorama which would be an interesting weekend for the younger generation to participate.

If you know your pop culture then you must like this diorama that lets you find those Easter Eggs that is hidden in the scene and here are some images that were captured on day one…
