Almost Human Coming to Warner TV Asia!

11.22.2013 – Almost Human is a new science fiction/crime drama which stars Karl Urban as detective John Kennex and Michael Ealy as Dorian an android capable of emotion. The series is set in the year 2048 where science and technology evolve at an uncontrollable pace.

The TV series premiered with a special preview Sunday, November 17 before moving to its regular time slot starting on Monday, November 18.


Karl Urban being connected to science fiction films playing a role of Dr. Leonard H. McCoy in the rebooted Star Trek, and also took the role in last year’s Judge Dredd takes taking the lead role as police officer who lost an entire team to a crime syndicate.

In the future where police officers are paired with android, John Kennex (Karl Urban) is not likely to be interested to be accompanied by one. Well until he lost his last MX 43 android and got an older model called the DRN android, which is capable with emotion known only as Dorian (Michael Ealy).



There’s not much promotion about this television show, but it shows to having potential with the right stories written all over it. Almost Human gives you a view of the future thirty five years from now.

The premise of the pilot reveals John Kennex as the only survivor of his squad who battled a crime syndicate. Thought dead but was in a coma for 17 months, who tries to piece together what’s left of his memory after the fatal injury that put him out.



Almost Human was created by J. H. Wyman for Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Along with Wyman, Bryan Burk and J. J. Abrams are executive producers of the series. J. J. Abrams who’s hard at work in directing the next Star Wars film is executive producer, which makes the series as interesting having Karl Urban as the lead for the show.

If you’ve seen his portrayal of iconic characters with Dr. McCoy and Judge Dredd see him breathe life to John Kennex. The new series has already aired the second episode, and it will be shown also in Asia.

The end credit music adds some personality in this film done by Crystal Method to have a feel that it was set in the future. Visually and in sound Almost Human is a new series worth catching on television.



Warner TV Asia is already promoting the premiere which will be aired on December 2 at 9:50 PM (check your local cable operator for details).

“Almost Human” should be something new to see Monday nights beginning next month.
