The 3rd Filipino ReaderCon Event Details!

11.01.2013 – The Filipino ReaderCon is an annual event organized by Filipino writers and book bloggers that would celebrate and provide support for the growing communities of Filipino readers. The first Filipino ReaderCon in 2011 entitled “Filipino Readers Make it Social,” was held during the Manila International Book Fair.

Now on its third year the Filipino ReaderCon is set to happen on November 9, 2013 at the Ateneo Rizal Library. The event still have a pre-registration for those interested to attend…


There were already confirmed guests and they also have launched a video ad in promoting the upcoming event…



This is their first video and if you’re based in the Philippines and if you happen to be familiar with Katipunan Road in Quezon City you’ll see this ad at the Ateneo De Manila’s LED board.

The official poster has been released in mid-October and guests from the Filipino Komiks community have Budjette Tan (Trese) and Gerry Alanguilan (Elmer) confirmed to be there when the event happen next Saturday.



The pre-registration is still open and you can get more details HERE to find out. There will be a pre-registration fee of PhP 150.00 pesos ($3.47 US Dollars) which inclusive of a kit, snacks and a certificate. This amount will be collected on the day itself and priority will be given to everyone who pre-registered.

The 3rd Filipino ReaderCon: What Do Readers Want? will be on November 9, 2013, 8:00am to 6:00pm at the Rizal Library – Ateneo de Manila University. This event is held in partnership with Rizal Library and National Book Development Board (NBDB), and sponsored by Buqo, Fully Booked, Adarna House, Scholastic, Flipreads, OMF Literature, Hachette, Simon & Schuster with media partner When In Manila.
