"Ang Maskot" to be shown in Cinemanila!

12.17.2013 – Rarely you’ll see a Filipino comic book adapted into a movie, and the last time there was based on pop culture nostalgia was Blue Bustamante. Mostly these films won’t be made if not through independent production.

Ang Maskot” is an original indie komiks by Macoy Tan, which is now adapted into a live action feature film that has a cast of well-known Filipino actors…

The film stars Pen Medina, Alessandra De Rossi, Ramon Bautista and Ketchup Eusebio as the mascot. It’s directed by Chris Costello and Mihk Vergara (the later portrayed Red Force in Blue Bustamante) under the Underdog Productions.

It’s the story of a disgruntled surly fast food employee, who gets stuck in his costume for a day when hjinks inevitably ensue. He'll go through muggings, screaming children and maybe even love before he can finally free himself of his costume and all that goes with it.

“Ang Maskot” will be screened at the upcoming Cinemanila (December 18 to 22, 2013 at SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig) as part of the Young Cinema: Exhibition. For more details of the film LIKEAng Maskot” on Facebook!
