| 02.02.2014 – Comic Odyssey starts with the month of February organizing comic book signings featuring local artists who are currently working for American comic book publishers like DC and Marvel.
The recently concluded event featured Ed Tadeo and Harvey Tolibao with Dexter Soy who did not make it. But he promised his followers of his work that he will make it up on the next event. For now Ed and Harvey holds the fort signing Uncanny X-Force #16 & 27. |
Currently Comic Odyssey is promoting the signing event at the newly opened shop at Promenade at Fully Booked in Greenhills, San Juan which opened in the second week of December 2013.
The signing event was for the last two issues of Uncanny X-Force, which was drawn by Harvey Tolibao and Dexter Soy, while Ed Tadeo is one of the inkers for issue #17.

Ed Shares his first day at Whilce’s Studio
When Whilce Portacio opened up his original studio in the 1990s Ed Tadeo was one of the artists along with Gerry Alanguilan, Leinil Yu, Gilbert Monsanto, Ryan Orosco, and Jay Anacleto. Ed recalls his first day working under Whilce’s watchful eyes when he teamed up to produce comic books for Avalon Studios with Brian Haberlin that was published by Imager Comics.
Ed’s work has evolved and continues to improve producing great commission sketches, and had worked with Dynamite Comics recently for the Bionic Man series.

Harvey the Entertainer
When you hang out with Harvey Tolibao you’ll be entertained by his stories and what he’s hearing or reading online. At the same time having great laughs while he does your sketch is something you’ll cherish more than just his artwork.
You will enjoy Harvey’s company when you sit and just have a good conversation. He tells you how his experience traveling in US comic conventions as well as his recent encounter with Danger Girl creator J. Scott Campbell. He also has rumors about upcoming movies and his own insight about everything and anything that he sees or read in the internet.
Harvey knows how to tickle your funny bone and at the heart of that is his passion in making great art, and he’s not afraid to share his thoughts about what he thinks.
If you missed his antics while Whilce was conducting his first ever seminar at flagship store at The Fort in Fully Booked. You can always catch him at Komikon or in local signings where he shows his support to his fellow artists.

So far no future projects that both artists will be working on but expect to see them roam around at the upcoming Summer Komikon on April 12, 2014 or next weekend (February 8, 2014)for Kim Jacinto’s signing event for the Superior Carnage #1 launch.
