APCC Manila 2015: Media Day Exclusive Reveal!

09.17.2015 – Asia Pop Comicon Manila ‘Media Day’ has a lot of reveals last Tuesday and besides the highlighted guests that surprised the media its also the merchandise that comes with it that where on display that is quite an unveil.

Chief among the exhibitors to check out at APCC Manila are Ban Kee Trading bringing the Gundam Caravan and Tomica Event Model exclusives available only for this show. But there’s more to see like Comicave Studios and Filbar’s exclusives!


The Fan Convention scene not without merchandise and it has been part of any show in the world. Most of them are exclusively available in a particular event. This will be a first for the Philippines to ever have an exclusive reveal of merchandise not scene in other cons but only at Asia Pop Comicon Manila.

For a long time the community of fans who are into collectibles and other interest has been longing for an event to have this ever be part of an actual fan convention and its definitely happening at APCC Manila that would be part of a convention concept that other shows might try to adopt in the future.











Comicave Studios

Iron Man fans can’t get enough Super Alloy figures that were first scene in Singapore two years ago and its finally making it to Asia Pop Comicon Manila, which features the 1/12 scale IGOR (MARK XXXVIII) and SHOTGUN (MARK XL) which has some elements of the War Machine, but with a different head design and weaponry.



They also have two Transformers characters based from the vision of Michael Bay, which is probably based on the designs in the recent film Transformers Age of Extinction that raked in box office receipts in 2014.



Filbar's

Now you’re talking about possibly the oldest comic shop in the Philippines, which was founded by Filimon Barbasa in 1979 now owned by Collecticon Inc has evolved with everything popular culture. They are also the country’s exclusive distributor of high end action figures like the 1/12 scale Hot Toys.

They have other exclusives too, but its best to drop by at their booth at APCC to see it in person what they are about to reveal and sometimes anticipation is best form of excitement to build to once they open their doors for those never before seen exclusive figures collectors are waiting to see.

There will be more surprises in the coming days as APCC Manila slowly descends into the Philippine convention scene and more reveals will be reported as follow. For now see all the images during ‘Media Day.’
