APCC Manila Release Guest Rates!

09.11.2015 – Asia Pop Comiccon Manila is a few days away and guests announced are making the Philippine scene excited.

This is the first international convention that certainly brings the biggest names unlike any event out there.

For some Filipinos they might be a little turned off, but everyone should understand for an international event also comes the price to spend. The entrance alone is a hefty amount to pay for three days, but you’ll be surprise about the guests…

In the US and in any other country that held international fan conventions the guests are exclusive only for this event. It maybe an actor or a comic book artist you have to shell out a lot of cash for this event. APCC late in the day just revealed the rates on how much you’ll pay to have an autograph and photograph with the main guests.

For some who have discussed about this in social media where the rate list started circulating had mixed reactions. There are others who commented and completely turned off and there are some who have been to international fan conventions would understand why it cost a lot.

This is APCC’s first event in Manila and they are testing the waters how to gauge Filipino residents who have never been into an international fan convention. For those not informed to have photos and getting their autograph is exclusive meaning you can’t use your own camera and they set up a specific area where you can have their autograph just like conventions in the US.

Autograph & Photo Op schedule is out! Have your photograph taken with a Hollywood celebrity or get an autograph from...

What made several people having doubts is that the rates are in US dollars and conversion in Philippine peso is quite expensive for someone who are not earning in ‘US dollar value.’ The other thing is APCC had posted this late due to that they where still confirming the guests and you’ll have to understand why this just became a discussion around the social media.

If APCC had posted this months the local based fans would understand, but then again this is their first event as mentioned they are still trying to gauge fans. But moving forward let’s hope this won’t come a shock anymore to Filipinos.

The rates are actually lower compared to having Mark Hamill or Stan Lee’s photograph and signatures which cost more than a hundred dollars. But then again the reactions are unexpected, but this is how international fan conventions goes and let’s also hope next year APCC has already have an idea how they announce their guests and release the guests rates to get an autograph and photograph.
