| 09.14.2015 – If you’re into everything has to do with visual art then you’re open to various interpretations whatever the artist conveys.
Last night’s Secret Fresh latest solo show featuring Andres Barrioquinto works and also have two new art toys. The surrealistic portraits layered with inspiration from Japanese art style and pattern of Barrioquinto takes a different look on some of his works. He revisits his old collection via his solo show “Dead Hunger: Disorder Revisited!” |
Andres Barrioquinto has 19 solo exhibitions under his belt and counting that also includes 5 of them in Singapore that you might see them in the Singapore Art Museum. His latest works are composed of old and new dusting off some of them in his previous collection and reimagining of social issues that continues to affects the artists today.
There are four paintings that were on exhibit last night and limited released art toys. The art toys featured are the “The Artist For Sale”, a fuzzy, glowing creature with a single eye and two pairs of limbs as winding key on top of its head. The other is “Birch Tree” a human-cow hybrid bust that appears to be milking itself, which explains that the artist is a milking cow mainly used for other’s benefit.
Both are limited release and exclusively at Secret Fresh. The event was star-studded with personalities who appreciate Andres Barrioquinto’s work making a visit to his solo show and here’s how it turned out through images below:
