11 Years of Planet X | There's Comic Gems in this Planet

09.28.2019 – Saturday was another busy weekend most notably for the staff and crew of Planet X Comic Shop that celebrated its 11th year and still one of the destinations for comicbook readers and walk-ins yp get their comicbook fix. The celebration features four Philippine-based artists that had done work for American publication like DC, Marvel, Image and more. Besides that the store had tons of activities that started the day right up to the closing mall hours of Glorietta as everyone is still enjoying the time hanging out at the shop.

This celebration shows how locals’ supports their comic shop and it is a rare feat to last this long thanks to the loyal readers who frequently pick up their pull list each week as gaining potential new readers also due to the popular films and animation that spin off based from its source material.



















Most you can hear are laughter and the joy of the fans that followed Lan Medina, Mico Suayan, Stephen Segovia, and, Harvey Tolibao interacting with them while they do some commission sketch work and signed some previous published works they’ve done for American publication. There were no short of activities from raffling off some interesting prizes that includes sketch art and other collectibles.

Although not the busiest weekend compared to the past Saturday it sure is one of the more intimate settings in comparison how they celebrated their tenth anniversary last year. There were variant covers and back issues on sale that you might have missed out, but this gathering is sure was one of the best times to have a chat with these talents over spaghetti and a couple bites of chicken.





















Planet X Comic Shop for some may be a wall-to-wall comic shop that most hardly noticed near the old section of Glorietta Mall on the third level. There are a lot of gems here unexplored for that novice reader in the world of comicbooks and graphic novels. You might have missed out the celebration, but not professional staff that delivers day in and out of the weekly basis will be here to serve you.
