| MOTU Origins continues to chug along in 2022 with new figures and assortment from their basic range of characters, which also include the Deluxe Editions that have extra parts and weapons as well as alternative head. Those who only got the regular version that most people recall as his default appearance won’t remember “Flying Fist He-Man” and the closest those who owned the original action figures will only remember the Battle Armor version.
The Flying Fist He-Man originally appeared in the later wave in the vintage toyline, and if you continue to collect the other characters from this realm of Eternia this version of He-Man was an instant classic despite absurdity and concept the name itself that doesn’t exactly look like he’s flying to punch Skeletor.
Back in the day, the Flying Fist He-Man was released as a regular figure with the same card back as most of the basic characters that was released before, But this time around, making it to the Origins, Flying Fist is now part of the Deluxe series that makes this figure having a bit of premium not only with the paint but also the accessories and the action feature that he retains from the original figure.

He-Man’s Fist of Action
This version of He-Man is so out there that not all remembers this version, but it is an instant nostalgia for those who used to own this figure. He comes with his signature spinning bolo weapon and spinning bladed shield. Since this figure is unbder the deluxe assortment He-Man comes with an alternate head, extra left fist to hold another weapon, and a whole power sword.
The packaging is crisp, pristine, and in a clear bubble where you can see everything he comes with. The Bursting red rocks and an illustration of He-Man ready to fight the baddies certainly impressive. The back card art presented with He-Man and friends against the back drop of Eternia interconnects with Terror Claws Skeletor.
Both artwork has A LOT of Easter eggs for the keen eyed MOTU fan, who truly appreciate the packaging artwork as well as the cross sell art featuring the other figures that came out in this wave.

Chromed and Ready to Fly
Upon opening the packaging you get the figure and a multitude of accessories that have the signature bolo weapon and shield. The original figure did not come with a power sword painted in silver. You can see comparisons from previous Adam/He-Man figures that have the swords as their accessories. The full sword does unlock the Grayskull drawbridge/door, and you’ll notice also that the spinning bolo weapon and shield have painted chrome parts to match with He-Man’s armor.
The chrome paint does wonders for He-Man, but in the long run it gets faded due to wear and tear playing with it. The alternate head is not entirely new, but it is the same head that came with the Walmart Exclusive Battlefield Battle Armor He-Man and Battle Cat set that have chrome in some parts of the figure.
The comparison with Flying Fist He-Man with the previous Adam/He-Man figures shows this version stands out with the chrome. The difference continues with the plastic gray/silver piece at the back of He-Man is not removable (compared to the vintage version) and its use to have the bolo weapon stored at his hack. Besides the chrome this figure still retain some level of articulation despite the arms have ratchet joints due to the built-in action feature.

Swings with Awesome Might
Due to the limited parts of this figure that can swapped it is because of the action feature He-Man retained from the vintage figure. This means despite being articulated the action pose is limited since there’s a mechanism built in this figure have those action moves if you plan to just display him.
There’s so much fun with this figures along with the previous Adam/He-Man versions that you can swap heads that makes the interchangeable concept fun. But the fun part is the action feature itself that takes such risk for those who don’t want to have those action feature built-in for this type of figure.
Nonetheless, Flying Fist He-Man is an enjoyable figure with play value that was intended to cater not just longtime collectors. But also younger kids who have no knowledge of this franchise that can be introduced by their parents who have grown up watching the original animation shows.
Overall the selling point on this figure is the action feature and the extra parts that can be used for the previous Adam/He-Man versions. The full sword painted in gray/silver was the attraction for those who want to build the perfect He-Man using weapons and parts that was not available previously.
Flying Fist He-Man is surely going to be one of those rare action figures still having his action feature translated to the Origins toyline that literally is going to show the other figures how it fights or get the Terror Claws Skeletor to compliment it!
