The Tomorrow People New Show on The CW!

10.26.2013 – The Tomorrow People looks like a new television show but turns out it was revived for the third time. The original British TV series ran from 1973 to 1979 and 1992 to 1995 had another revival.

Then in 2001 to 2007 it had audio plays Big Finish Productions. A new show was developed and it was aired on October 9, 2013 on The CW the same channel that brought you the Arrow.

The Tomorrow People is a sci-fi and fantasy show about homo superiors which is in another realm of Marvel Universe they are known as Mutants. The third reincarnation of the series gets introduced in the US television via The CW. The concept of the show’s premise is about a genetic evolution; develop special powers (the "three T's" of telepathy, teleportation, and telekinesis).

The series focuses on Stephen Jameson, a newly-emergent member of the Tomorrow People, as was his father. His father, the most powerful of the Tomorrow People, disappeared years before the series begins, trying to find a place where they could live safely. The Tomorrow People are hunted by Ultra, an organization that uses Tomorrow People to hunt down others and neutralize them; their headquarters are designed to neutralize the powers of Tomorrow People.

Robbie Amell (the cousin of Stephen Amell who stars in Arrow) plays the lead role as Stephen James who leads a band of Tomorrow People in hiding. If you haven’t known the series you’ll think this reminds you how Heroes started. But it turns out a re-telling of the classic British TV show from the 1970s and 1990s.

The Tomorrow People has a collective group of individuals that you’ll get to know in the next episodes as currently on its third airing of the show. Beside the young hero who would possibly be the one to lead them you got the bad guys in Ultra, men in black suits.

You’ll find the pilot episode not leading you directly but not necessarily dragging unlike some shows that needs a lot of action. The Tomorrow People appears to be created recently but no need to go back and dig up the old series as it’s not even related.

They only need the chance to tell their story to the new generation on how Stephen James will play out his role and which sides he’s on.
