| 12.13.2019 – The Witcher is an upcoming upcoming American fantasy drama web television series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix. Henry Cavill in the lead role as Geralt of Rivia was also present toured with Lauren in Asia to promote the series which brought them for the first time in Manila.
The series is based on the book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski. The series will begin streaming on Netflix on 20 December 2019. A second season was also announced on 13 November 2019. The Witcher in Manila was held at the Ayala Mall by the Bay with a huge turnout lining up as early as 10 AM before trading hours. |
Prior to the event at Ayala Mall by the Bay, Netflix Asia invited locals from various media from television, online, and publication for a special press media introducing Henry Cavill and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich at Conrad Hotel in Pasay City. Following the press media Cavill and Netflix entourage made their way to Ayala Mall by the Bay as crowd has build-up in the stage area.
