Hot Wheels has been known to produce various iterations of the Batmobile based on animation, comicbooks, film, and television. The scale ranges from basic retail release to the top tier well-detailed scaled diecast collectible cars. But the casual Batman fan would like to keep it minimal at the same time appreciate the vehicle in an affordable pocket-size scale that he/she can bring around.
The Batmobile was introduced as part of the 1/64 scale mainline for Hot Wheels manufactured and produced by Mattel. It is based on “The Batman” movie that stars Robert Pattinson, which is written and directed by Matt Reeves. The movie is set in the second year Bruce Wayne became Batman, and with being ‘new’ to the crime-fighting scene his vehicle would look less like what everyone knew about the sophisticated version of the Batmobile.

Going back to Basics
“The Batmobile” appearing in “The Batman” first appeared in leaks and some of the early sightings that it would be included in the Hot Wheels 2021 mainline in gloss black using aero disc wheels. It is designed by Manson Cheung for the Hot Wheels brand and it is not the Batmobile car you’ve been known for.
Since the movie takes place in Batman’s early days, the Batmobile has to be basic in appearance but still have that kind of intimidation. It is depicted as a muscle car in gloss black, and the inspiration somewhat parallels the early years of Batman appearing in the comicbooks, which was drawn by Bob Kane, where the very first Batmobile was just a red car, and not the intimidating heavily armored black and blue bat-like machine that appeared in the 1950s.
Muscle Bound Bat-Machine
There’s not much to offer or anything special about the Batmobile appearing in “The Batman” other than the trailer that DC posted featuring a chase scene with the Penguin and “The Batman” in harshly rainy conditions that were set in the very congested highway as you hear the engine of the Batmobile roar into action.
It is one of the memorable scenes that is highly anticipated how different Batman was in his early days, and not much relying on technology despite that the Batmobile has been known as the extension of the character even in the early years of his adventures that were published in the comicbooks.
Wheels of Intimidation
This Batmobile is not just some one-tricked pony, but an intimidating force that would possibly steal the scenes just like the previous bat cars that have done in their film appearances. It is one of the most anticipated elements of why Batman has been adored by the fans for so many years because of the iconic cars he has driven and appeared in various media.
Comparing it to the previous Batmobiles is quite unfair as this is the car Batman drives in the early years of his career. It might not have the various sophistication of the previous Batmobiles, but it is up there for fans to truly appreciate the character again and find adoration in this modern take of Batman’s early years owning a Bat Crazed Muscle Car in the upcoming film.
Overall, the design on the hood as well as the intricate details of the rear engine shows that Hot Wheels would push boundaries in design to fit within the budget of a basic diecast car to be ever produced such as this version of the Batmobile appearing in “The Batman” film and it is truly something to find in your local retail store.
