News has been out that she would be appearing in the 10th and final season of Smallville as Erica Durance's mother Ella Lane. She will appear in the a special guest role in the titled episode "Abandoned" in Smallville, who appeared in the lost video Lois Lane (Erica Durance) discovered. |
The casting of Teri Hatcher, who starred as Clark Kent's love interest for four seasons in the 1990s TV show continues the Smallville tradition. Turning to previous actors who has ties with the Superman franchise.
Anette O'Toole, who played Lana Alng on Superman III, has portrayed Martha Kent for nine seasons; The late Christopher Reeve appeared as Dr. Virgil Swann in two episodes; Terrence Stamp, who played General Zod in Superman I and II, provided the voice of Jor-El; Margot Kidder, who portrayed Lois Lane in the Superman Movies, appeared as Dr. Bridgette Crosby, and Marc McClure, aka Jimmy Olsen portrayed the Kryptonian scientist Dax-Ur. In addition, Supergirl's Helen Slater played Kal-El's biological mother Lara-El in Season 7.
