08.21.2013 – Komiks Expo is a small press event dedicated to Filipino artists based in the US. It’s organized by Manilatown Heritage Foundation a local group of Filipinos based in San Francisco an event gathering of cartoon, comic book, animation, and anime artists.
Komiks Expo highlights the cartoon and comic book tradition in the Philippines and United States is back this year letting you know that there is an event happening annually paying tribute not only about the local talents but also Filipinos making big in the mainstream comic book industry. |
This year the third Komiks Expo will be held at the I-Hotel Manilatown Center. Come join the fun for a day of art work, workshops, and activities. There will be special appearances by Julius Sanchez (MMC Workshop) and Bobby Rubio (Pixar Animation Studios/Alcatraz High) as highlighted guests for this event.
Komiks Expo is open to everyone who wants to be an exhibitor details HERE to submit an application to display their artwork (cartoon, comic book, animation, and anime mediums). Space is limited. We will only review applications completed in full. Applications are due September 6, 2013 at 11:59pm PST.
The event is going to be held at the I-Hotel Manilatown Center, 868 Kearny St., San Francisco, CA 94108. The event will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 1 PM to 7 PM. For directions check the details HERE!
