| 04.02.2014 – Rodski Patotski: Ang Dalagang Baby is a new collaboration between Gerry Alangulan (Eisner Award Nominee for Elmer) and Arnold Arre who returns back to his roots as a comic book artist together with his wife Cynthia Arre.
The upcoming graphic novel is loosely inspired from Gerry Alanguilan’s wife Ilyn. Though there are no other further details of the entire plot. But it seems everyone is going to be curious about what’s the story about and Arnold has something to share… |
This is not the first time Arnold and Gerry teamed up in one comic book. A few years ago they experimented on an idea for Darna, which had inspirations taken from the pages of Frank Miller’s ‘The Dark Knight Returns.’ But the estate of Mars Ravelo wants to keep the same story all over again without allowing other artists and writers to tell the story in a fresh perspective.
Even though Arnold and Gerry were never given a green light for Darna, but they already have other projects set and one of them is Rodski Patotski: Ang Dalagang Baby. In Gerry’s own words it’s loosely based on his wife, and a Filipino slice of life story harkens back to the old komiks genres.

This might be another hit graphic novel done by two talented artists of this generation. And it’s a great way to accompany it with a teaser trailer for the readers and followers of both artists to be excited about.
