| 03.20.2015 – Josh Trank’s vision of the upcoming “Fantastic Four” film has been in the radar being talked about, but not enough details on what its current iteration. During its principal photography there were only a few images revealed.
The fans that have been following the comic books as well as the two previous films, and they where surprised about the direction for this reboot. This might not be news for some but 20th Century Fox has finally released some interesting images... |
Of course the teaser trailer is not enough to please some fans about what is this new Fantastic Four, which was originally rumored simplity titled as just “4” when the image of the number was revealed. Well not until they official gave the teaser with a new stylized title now known as “Fantastic Four” replacing the “A” with “4.”
Directed by Josh Trank of the widely celebrated “Chronicle” movie that came to popular radar of recent times, “Fant4stic Four” is also co-produced and written by Simon Kinberg – known to the world who scribed the most thrilling blockbuster movies the world has ever seen in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Jumper,” rewrites the awesome foursome’s journey from ordinary human beings to the universe’s superheroes.

Given “Fantastic Four” have a rich history as Marvel’s first superhero team and longest-running comic book title in its more than fifty-year history created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby back on 1961, way before X-Men and Avengers it comes with a lot of weight how this new live action film will be interpreted. With over 150 million comic books sold and wherein the previously released movies of the team made a box-office hit of US$620 million worldwide, the upcoming movie release poises to surpass the previous blockbuster records with Trank’s higher goals on making the latest adaptation on the journey and transformation of the four from ordinary humans to being heroes.
This 2015’s version of “Fantastic Four” is a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team – centering on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate universe that later alters their physical form in shocking ways. With their newfound powers, the team eventually learns to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
Starring Miles Teller as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm aka The Thing, “Fantastic Four” director Trank further revealed in recent interviews that he has gone for a different distinct vibe on making the movie, “The original two films to me are very similar to a lot of recent movies that have come out, in terms of that kind of cartoonishness, says Trank.” It’s just not something that I and Simon are interested in as storytellers.”
Moreso, Trank disclosed that “My dream has always been to make a hard sci-fi film, and my biggest influences in that realm are early David Cronenberg films like Scanners and The Fly.” Such that for his four superheroes, audiences will be in for a jaw-dropping character-driven and unprecedented movie experience that they’ve been working on for three-and-a-half-years.
“Fantastic Four” (3D) opens in the Philippines nationwide on August 6, 2015 from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
