Playmobil Figures | Fairy
In the past promotional figures given away as a token or as part of a purchase of any Playmobil product is rarity with other brands or not at all. These token Playmo Figures are exclusive by itself not available in an existing set or blind bag. Most of these are given away through store promotions or a special event.
The Fairy was one of the figures that was available to be given away at Toy World in Adelaide, South Australia for every Playmobil purchase regardless if its big or small sets you can take home one free Playmo Figure. It was one of the promotional offers Toy World had during the store’s restock of Playmobil products since they’re the only shop that carries the brand in downtown Adelaide.
Sorcery of Plant-like Origins
Playmobil has so many themes that comes back or gets discontinued, but fantasy is one that is a recurring theme along with medieval due to its popularity for its play value across the entire brand. Mostly the fantasy themes are aimed at young girls and this Fairy fits into that realm where they can make stories out of this figurine.
There have been several variations of a fairy, but this one certainly is unique by itself for having several accessories. The level of detail is shown in this figure can be seen in the clear polybag that was randomly given away. The accessories alone match the brightly colorful palette of this character that is ready for any child to tell its story.
Garden Variety of Fantasy
Though for its simple concepts and characteristics this fairy is a standout among those figures that were given away that day. It has dragonfly companion and carries a magical staff that is powered by a mysterious orb at the same time she has the ability to fly with those translucent wings.
The figure itself has so many details like colorful tattoos on both of her arms and has a wicked blue hair piece while in a long dress that shows her character of being a fairy that must have lived in the woods or some uncharted forest is quite ripe to be given a story of her adventures if you’re into Toy Photography.
A Fairy Good Show
Like all the Playmo Figures they are limited in articulation and most female characters that are fairies or princesses are in long dresses have more limitation to articulation since they appear to have one single piece that two legs. But Playmo Figures are already limited with articulation from waist down unlike other brands that have independent joints on their legs that you make them do walking pose.
It is the engineering and design or the Playmo Figure for its limited joints, but they appeal because of their signature facial expression. Rarely, you see a secondary face that shows emotion other than a smile. Overall design and chosen color this figure was impressive despite not being a licensed character.
But Playmobil doesn’t invest so much to putting a name to their characters as they let the children create their identity for these nameless wonders as for the reason why the brand is invested in the play value of the toy and not only the figures, but the sets that comes with it to build it through any kid’s imagination and that is why this Fairy simply one of the best ones the brand has ever produced as a promotional item.
Playmobil Fairy is a promotional figure is given away for every Playmobil set purchase which is exclusively available at Toy World in Adelaide distributed by Modern Brands. For more about Playmobil Community in the Philippines LIKE Pinoymobil on Facebook!
