Kids Meal Spotlight | DC Comics Scribblenauts

06.17.2018 – Scribblenauts is a puzzle videogame that first introduced in Nintendo DS which is exclusively a side-scrolling game controlled almost entirely with the Nintendo DS stylus, with the D-pad and face buttons controlling the camera and the left and right shoulder buttons rotating objects.

In 2013 collaboration with the developers of Scribblenauts and DC Comics presented a Nintendo DS game called “Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure” though there is no merchandise tie-up or even directly associated with a fast food restaurant the kids meal by Hungry Jack’s in Australia might be the merch.

There were six characters produced by Hungry Jack’s in Australia that was released in 2013, but you can’t get them completed due to the challenge of getting all six since they were blind packed in a black plastic and randomly given away with a meal or just a toy for $2.00 AUD as most western countries allow the purchase of the toy without the need to have a kids meal.

DC Comics characters presented in the world of Scribblenauts with their unique aesthetics you get to complete all six characters featuring Batman, Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Bane, and the Joker. They come with permanent stands as their feet are tiny to stand on their own as the design is a little bit top-heavy.

These figurines are quite small less than three inches tall and will compare the main four characters (Batman, Flash, Superman, and Wonder Woman) with their counterparts that McDonald’s has released as Asian Exclusive tie-up for the movie that was released in 2017 since they’re only four of them.

Overall the Scribblenauts stands true to their design aesthetics and taking the designer art toy concept of the blind packaging. They were only released in 2013 in Australia as these figurines were never released in North America.

Scribblenauts x DC Comics is an exclusive only in Australia through Hungry Jacks' Kids Meal promotion in 2013 and these were acquired through a Sunday Market with the exception of Bane.
