| 08.27.2019 – The Marvel freight train keeps on chugging along with the plethora of reveals for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service over the past weekend there’s more where all that is coming from. With the Comic Book content heating up with their flagship X-titles literally sold and the MCU films are building up.
The merchandise machine hasn’t stop producing all things Marvel that you can wear and sleep in. A few years ago there was a Marvel store that has anything that has something to do with the House of Ideas, which even though short lived it gave fans what they had and now it’s Miniso’s turn to bring some Marvel to the mainstream. |
If you haven’t heard Miniso is a low-cost Chinese retailer and Variety Store chain that specializes in household and consumer goods including cosmetics, stationery, toys, and kitchenware. It started opening shop in the Philippines sometime late 2015 to mid-2016 and currently continues to expand.
They’ve acquired licencing rights to produce merchandise and the most popular are from Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears and Adventure Time. Last month they have unveiled a major licencing deal that featured Marvel’s Avengers that featured Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel. There are images of Hawkeye in the area, but upon entering the store so far there’s no sign of the character’s merchandise. Probably in other branches although this one at the SM Mall of Asia can be seen from a far to be amazed how the collaboration between Marvel and Miniso has kept both store and brand fresh from mainstream.

Not entirely all are Marvel merchandise you still see previous brand tie-ups from We Bare Bears and Adventure Time in some parts of the store. From Coffee Mug to wallets there’s something you’ll find for your home. Captain Marvel coasters and rug are easily seen based on her famed symbol. The Hulk’s green motif certainly will give you an idea that the jaded giant has some interesting stuff too.
Thor pillows and a soft Mjolnir with the Marvel logo is something you can have company on your bed. Captain America soft plush toys and a drinking container similar to what Iron Man has are also on display.
Perhaps a Spider-Man keepsake like a wallet will certainly give you Great Responsibility not to spend that much and save up for a rainy day. Speaking of the weather there are also umbrellas that are based from the characters that is available in this store and all you need is look around what can be interesting to you.
