| McDonald’s drops a surprising Happy Meal for the month of June 2021 with another set of Minions from the Rise of Gru sequel, which the screen date has been pushed from July 2021 to next year. For those who are unaware this is considered a second wave of toys as the first wave was released sometime late in November 2020.
The unexpected release of this second set of Minions is also the opportunity for collectors to get some of the characters that were supposed to be exclusive in other countries. This means another set bump up the number of minions from last year with another set of 20 characters that were sighted at one of the stores in Manila. |
There are no specific details on which new Minions characters are available as the display seen in one of the McDonald’s stores in Makati City is not specific as they’re mixed up with the previously released sets or what’s left that was available at this particular branch.
But as announced the twenty figurines will be available and they are this time scheduled by batch as you can see on the set dates that was tagged on each five figurines that’s on display. Just like the previous release there will be a random Gold Minion included for every single purchase of a Happy Meal.
Scheduled Minion Release
Twenty Minions will be released every Friday and there are no details on this particular store, which of the character Minions will be sold starting 21 May 2021. But expect other stores to give details on what’s available as the list of dates has been updated below:
- 21- 27 May 2021
- 28 May – 3 June 2021
- 4 – 11 June 2021
- 18 – June – 8 July 2021
For more details on which specific Minions you’re looking for just approach the assigned staff on the store where you’re purchasing your Happy Meal. These will definitely an additional set that Minion collectors for some, is unexpected but good news to acquire some of the characters that you can see in the display.
These toys started being available at McDonald’s starting 21 May 2021 and will be available for the next 28 days or until supply last due to its widespread popularity, which you should not miss out and collect all 20 toys through scheduled weekly release every Friday.
