Movie Review: From the mind of Maleficent!

05.29.2014 – What will the world of Sleeping Beauty without the villainy of Maleficent? In the original 1959 animated feature she was vile and dark like any Disney villain, but in Maleficent it casts a dark shadow on the girl she cursed as a child. Of course THIS IS Maleficent, the film that has been talked about for almost two years. A movie that shares the perspective of the title character who was the villain who made things awful to Aurora, but this is not the princess in the spotlight.

Elle Fanning is Princess Aurora in Maleficent!

05.12.2014 – Maleficent is the focus in the upcoming film and shares the side of her story. Walt Disney Studios expands that story beyond Sleeping Beauty, the animate featured film that made Maleficent a popular villain. If Maleficent has long been a symbol of the dark feminine, the character Aurora has always symbolized the light and innocent. In casting the role of the Princess who falls under Maleficent’s spell, the filmmakers of Walt Disney Pictures' “Maleficent” chose one of the most talented actresses of her generation, Elle Fanning.
