11.16.2013 – If you haven’t seen Blue Bustamante during its run at the Cinema One Originals Festival 2013, then you must be living a cave and missing the opportunity to watch this cool film directed by Miko Livelo.

What makes the film interesting is that it was marketed the way Hollywood films are made. There where Filipino-made television shows or movies that has merchandise. But Blue Bustamante takes it to a whole new level with quality and great admiration.

If you’re going to drop by Komikon 2013 expect the Punch Kick production team to unveil the poster, shirts and the limited edition action figure. These will be sold as part of the fund raising benefit for super typhoon Yolanda which hit the Visayan province of Tacloban in Leyte the past weekend.

The exclusive merchandise was first seen during the premiere night of Blue Bustamante last Tuesday night. The movie poster which was designed by JP Cuison with an inspiration from the original art featuring Blue Force in action will be available this Saturday.

There will be a Blue Bustamante shirt which was already being sold during the premiere night for PhP 500.00 pesos. This cool black with an original logo of Blue Bustamante designed by Jolo Livelo aka Jolo Kick will be among the merchandise to be sold during Komikon which happens today.

What would catch your attention definitely will be Blue Force, the action figure based from the fictional television show of Force Five in the world of Blue Bustamante. It is designed by INS (Imagine Nation Design Studios) which was previously revealed as a prototype and pre-production model minus the colors.

The action figure’s final version was sighted during the premiere night prior to the screening. Miko Livelo showed the toy during his speech and it will be a limited one-time release.

It reminds you of those Sentai action figures that are packaged in cheap plastic bags. But it was done in great craftsmanship for you to truly appreciate its nostalgia. Though it might not appear has highly articulated as everyone expects. It is simple design making this action figure looks like it was made in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

This might be the first time an independent movie to have merchandise based on the fictional character appearing in Blue Bustamante. Take the opportunity to get one yours during Komikon and at the same time you’ll be able to help the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan).
