| 04.24.2014 – SM Department Store is teaming up for ‘tokidoki in the City’ for this weekend and founder and co-owner Simone Legno will be in town for this event.
For those unaware Legno is the creator of tokidoki characters. The Italian who was inspired by Japanese culture is town for the second time since his last visit in 2008. This time tokidoki takes center stage with a weekend of events culminating the launch of his global brand of art toys, apparel, and accessories that is slowly appearing in SM Department stores. |
But long ago Simone Legno has been making the brand popular in Singapore being present consistently at the Singapore Toy, Games, and Comic Convention (STGCC). It was back in 2009 the second year of the ever growing convention, where you will find him signing autographs and introducing new products for his brand.
tokidoki has become a global brand for being known only in the urban lifestyle, which is slowly getting recognized. Simone Legno continues to be present at STGCC and his presence was first witnessed five years ago.
The brand has been around the country Secret Fresh then known as Fresh Manila was the first store to have his products and in 2011 Red Nimbus have more than just the art toys it also includes almost the entire line of clothing apparel and bags, which are no longer available in other countries.
Now he’s back in the Philippines to promote and introduce tokidoki this coming weekend at the SM North at The Block where he will be making an appearance as well as bringing his brand to the bigger market. The company was founded in 2005 and continues to grow with new character making an appearance too.
But if you can’t catch Simone Legno at The Block in SM North you can see him up close at the Vinyl on Vinyl this Saturday.
