05.18.2016 - The “Ghostbusters” as iconic as any property that became popular from the 1980s and it has been a long time since there was a new film or revival. The new film directed by Paul Feig has received scepticism since the first images revealed. Just like any non-believers anyone who has the affinity for the original still won’t accept that there’s a new one even the first trailer was revealed and here’s more… |
The latest trailer gives more new scenes and extended cuts on Chris Hemsworth’s role as Kevin, who is the male version of Janine Melnitz (portrayed by Annie Potts) in the original classic duology.
It seems his appearance is the amalgamation of Janine and Louis Tully (Rick Moranis) shown being possessed by a ghost also shown in the earlier trailer. There are more ghouls and giant ones that don’t impress Melissa McCarthy’s Abby Yates. Let’s face it the new Ghostbusters is this generation’s version of what the classic stood for and it may not impress the older fans it sure would re-ignite interest with new fans seeing how the visuals are bigger than that Twinkie as seen below:
Ghostbusters is headed to cinemas on July 15, 2016 from Sony Pictures distributed in Asia by Columbia Pictures in the Philippines!
