CBS Teased New Star Trek in 2017!
Star Trek has a very long history dating back to 1966 with the original series which catapult the careers of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. Though the series lasted for three seasons it gained a cult following through syndication.
The revival of Star Trek began with the Star Trek Motion Picture in 1979 and with all that relaunch a television series in 1987 with “Star Trek: The Next Generation” featuring a new crew of the USS Enterprise that featured Jean-Luc Picard as portrayed by Shakespearean actor Patrick Stewart that lasted seasons and spinoffs followed with “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”, “Star Trek: Voyager” and the aforementioned Enterprise. It was the longest television series until ‘franchise fatigue’ put the series on status until CBS has finally is bringing back Star Trek on television teased below:
There have been speculation of the upcoming series, but so far a teaser to bring hope long time trekkies is good enough to wait for next year. So far the only trek-related fans are anticipating right now is “Star Trek Beyond” and as they say it’s a good time to be a Star Trek fan as the franchise will celebrate a year long 50th anniversary.
The year 2017 is not far and can’t be close enough to beam up any away teams to celebrate but its all good at the helm to see this far beyond the stars.
