TRU Exclusive | World Peacekeepers

06.18.2019 – In the modern era of toy collecting there’s so much diverse brands and properties out there. From construction toys to superhero theme range of action figures and some would say that’s not enough diversity for you to sink your teeth in. But you’ll be surprised that there are some who are lowkey to the hobby.

Most of these enjoy the casual hobby and are not about the big brands but appreciate the little things. You can say there are action figure collectors out there, but not the ones you expect and most these individuals are old school and then there’s the "World Peacekeepers," a toyline about military figures, vehicles, & sets.

The World Peacekeepers has been a little known military themed assortment of figures, vehicles, and sets that are like casual collectors that is sort of under the radar property. They’ve been available in some parts of the world.

They’ve been an affordable brand of military toys that are manufactured by Hong Kong-based Company, M&C Toys which also produce Fire Rescue and Police Swat themed range of the same line of 4-inch or 1/18 scale assortments. They also product highly detailed 12-inch or 1/6 scale military figures.

“World Peacekeepers“ has been around that established the M&C Toys brand and have been sighted before in South Australia almost two years ago with the original first wave of military toys as an Exclusive to Target Australia.

Pricepoint Difference: Australia VS Philippines

Last night the same toy brand lands to the Philippines’ local Toys R’ Us as its exclusive replacing the store’s stable Sentinel 1 military toys produced by True Heroes that has been part of the Toys R’ Us brand has been discontinued. Several of the World Peacekeepers that has been spotted before are not present to this current wave namely the Basic single-carded military figures that go for $3.00 AUD (PhP 108.00 Philippine Pesos**).

But they have the Deluxe boxed single figures that either have one vehicle or have a special gear that goes for PhP 349.75 Philippines Pesos ($9.75 AUD** which would be Only for $5.00 AUD* at Target Australia), which also sighted along with these assortments with that military jeep for PhP 699.75 pesos ($19.45 AUD** which is originally retailed Only for $10.00 AUD* at Target Australia).

The obvious price gap when converted to Australian Dollars shows that the toys in the Philippines is more expensive than what is actually retailed and sold at Target Australia. What Target Australia doesn’t have are the bigger packs and playsets, which was exclusive for Toyworld Australia in some point of its availability.

Exclusive Only to Toys R’ Us Philippines

What is interesting is that TRU literally replaced the store’s own military toys namely True Heroes with the increasingly popular World Peacekeepers as its flagship product that is also indicated being an exclusive to this store through the product’s back packaging that hopefully expands its range not only for military themes, but also bringing the Fire Rescue and Police SWAT assortments.

Currently, the latest World Peacekeepers military assortment have more choices with regards to vehicles and playsets that is now available locally in the Philippines nationwide through exclusive partnership with Toys R’ Us.
