The Side-Trip at the MINT Toy Museum!

11.27.2010 - Last year during my first trip to Singapore I didn't commute from Bencoleen Hotel, where I stayed. I usually walk all to the Suntec International Convention Centre, which is the current venue of this year's Singapore, Toys, Games, and Comic Convention. Mint stands for Moment of Imagination and Nostalgia with Toys. At first the word "MINT" didn't mean anything, but when I looked back it does make sense how awesome this place can be the world's first purpose-built museum for toys.

STGCC 2009 Highlights Featured Artists!

03.31.2009 – This year’s STGCC marks another growth in the Red Dot Island’s first pop culture convention. Besides the sellers and exhibitors STGCC brings the best and talented individuals from the comic book industry and Urban Culture. The event is led by four talents in the medium or art and culture in this second STGCC. For the first time STGCC brings you Brian Bolland (Batman: The Killing Joke), Joe Ledbetter (Slander for PlayImaginative), Tang Eng Huat (DC and Marvel Comics) and Gary Baseman (Cranium).

STGCC 2009: Opening Night and Event Preview!

08.30.2009 – A few weeks ago was the start of our inspiration which is the recently concluded STGCC (Singapore Toys, Games, and Comics Convention). It was the second pop culture event for a rich artistic culture in Singapore which was organized by the kind folks at PI Events (Play Imaginative). The experience was overwhelming and the adventures in-between still leaves me quite an inspiration to tell you about the first day on what exactly happened on August 13, 2009.
