Toonami Ready For Dragon Ball Super!

11.12.2015 – Dragon Ball is one of Japan’s iconic series on television and now Toonami will be airing its latest in Dragon Ball Super. This is not a retelling of Dragon Ball Z or a side story like Dragon Ball GT, but it is series after the Majin Boo story arc.

The new series is a good jumping point to new fans and more of the official announcement has been revealed that it set to air in the Asian region.

Dragon Ball Super, the first Dragon Ball television series to be produced in nearly 20 years, will make its pan-regional launch on Toonami, Turner’s kids brand dedicated to delivering the best superhero and action-adventure animation, in mid-2016.

The latest instalment of the classic franchise will have an exclusive first-run premiere on Toonami, which will also be its English-language world premiere.

While every other fangirl is going gaga over the recently released Fifty Shades of Grey trailer (I'm not a fan-really) a whole different spectrum of fangirls and boys were going gaga over the confirmed news that the cast and director of Warner Bros. Pictures Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno will be attending the Philippine Premiere.

Hunter X Hunter: The Last Mission Showing Exclusively at SM Cinemas




I can't believe that it's already been a year since Movie Punch distributed Hunter X Hunter: The Phantom Rogue last May and now they're at it again with the new movie ~ Hunter X Hunter: The Last Mission which will screen EXCLUSIVELY at SM Cinemas on April 19 - that's a Black Saturday so not sure how that's going to work but I guess they will be screening it for a couple of weeks so mark those calendars!

And then they were 10. The Juppongatana (Ten Swordsmen) prove to be a formidable foe for Kenshin and his allies in the sequels Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire and Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend. 


As 2014 is ushered in more and more EXCITING Rurouni Kenshin news have been spreading like wild fire (coughs - Fire! Fire! Fire!) We'll definitely be seeing a lot of those in the two sequels slated to be released in the summer of 2014. 

Just last night specific dates of when the movies will be released have been announced.

Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Z has sold more than 230 million copies worldwide since it's release in 1984-now almost 29 years later and after 17 movies - an 18th movie is bidding it's time (as of this posting -44 days) before it is released in Philippine Cinemas.

07.26.2012 – Everyone knows Sailor Moon making an impact in the Filipino Popular Culture when it first debuted in the 1990s dubbed in Tagalog language.

It has been one of the iconic anime series that fans followed that spawned merchandise, videogames and cosplayers suiting up emulating their favourite characters from the show.

07.07.2012 – If you’re into vintage Japanese Super Robots few comes to mind that it has become part of the Filipino Popular Culture. For the 1970s and early 1980s fans who has a passionate admiration for Voltes V, Mazinger Z, and Daimos its something special for these generation.



The regeneration of the Super Robots won’t happen until towards the late 1980s with Voltron (originally known as Go Lion) and the re-airing of Voltes V and Daimos on local television. Originally Voltes V and Tōshō Daimos was part of “Robot Romance Trilogy.”

Life-Size Macross Valkyrie Unveiled for the 30th Anniversary!

05.03.2012 – It’s been thirty years since we first saw Hikaru Ichijo (Rick Hunter in the North American version of Robotech) take flight in his VF-1J Valkyrie in the original Macross series shown in Japan which also had other Asian countries started airing this beloved anime.

In celebration of its 30th Anniversary of the famed anime franchise there was news going around surrounding a Macross-themed exhibition in the Shibuya but rumors died down without any confirmation if it would push through.

With a new trailer debuting this week to hype the release of the live action Rurouni Kenshin movie in August, it seems the very first official poster has also made its way online!

Rurouni Kenshin 2nd Trailer arrives online


Via JEFusion, the second trailer for the live action adaptation of Nobuhiko Watsuki's Rurouni Kenshin. Starring Takeru Satoh of Kamen Rider Den-O fame as Kenshin Himura, the movie will focus on the first story arc with Kenshin's introduction and eventually squaring off against Jine, the Oniwabanshu, and Saito Hajime. Emi Takei plays Kamiya Kaoru, Munetaka Aoki will play Sagara Sanosuke, Yuu Aoi is Megumi Takani, and Taketo Tanaka will be Myojin Yahiko. Musician and actor Koji Kikkawa of Kamen Rider W fame (he played Kamen Rider Skull) will play the deadly Jine Udo, while Yosuke Eguchi will take on the role of Saito Hajime. Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Official Pics Released!


Following up on a first-look scan released a few days ago and via a post at Anime News Network, the staff and makers of next year's upcoming live action adaptation of "Rurouni Kenshin". Also known as "Samurai X" in the US and based on the manga and anime series of the same name created by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the movie will premiere on August, and will star Takeru Satoh of Kamen Rider Den-O fame as the legendary slasher Kenshin Himura himself, with Emi Takei playing his love interest Kamiya Kaoru, who is pictured below.

It's as raw as it's gonna get on this newest collaboration between fanboy minds, and best be prepared for some hilarious moments concerning Billy, his *cough cough* Artbook, and his ramblings on depression! Check Out The First X-men Anime Trailer!

Marvel has unveiled the next part of their four part Marvel Anime series initiative that's coming to Japan! After giving Iron Man and Wolverine the Anime treatment, their taking it a step further by bringing together a collection of heroes... and it's none other than those band of merry mutant heroes, the Uncanny X-men! That's right, there's an X-men Anime series on the way, and that means aside from Wolverine returning, you get the rest of his teammates, including Cyclops, Storm, Beast, and their leader Professor X! The team reunites after the death of a teammate, and battle the U-men, who seek to harvest mutant organs for their own evil intentions! Check out the first teaser trailer to this new Japanese series below!
