11.28.2013 – When you talk about “Where Bold Stars Go to Die” it sounded less of a porn related to title and more of a world that you want to know where they went. This was Gerry Alanguilan’s next independent comic book project after Elmer. From talking chickens to bold stars and when you hear those words nudity comes to mind. Because back then old Filipino komiks have adult related titles, but this one is not cheap and definitely for adults only that address the subject matter seriously with respect.

11.17.2012 – Earlier today the latest SUPER Lifestyle feature was about Filipino Komiks and it was written by none other than Gerry Alanguilan (Elmer and Wasted) who has worked for international publishers such as DC, Marvel and Image who has an award winning book in his creation for Elmer.



Gerry has been passionate about Filipino Komiks growing up loving the culture and being part of our heritage. He wrote an article for Philippine Daily Inquirer’s SUPER Lifestyle which shares that Filipino Komiks is not dead and yes Komikon DID happen.

Gerry Alanguilan Promotes Indestructible Hulk #1!

09.26.2012 – Gerry Alanguilan finally released his latest vlog after his recent trip from the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention where he mentioned that he fell ill after his first appearance to the said event. He promotes the upcoming Indestructible Hulk #1 coming out in November 2012.



The book is written by Mark Waid with art work by Leinil Yu who also went to STGCC 2012 as one of the guests along with other Filipino artists making a name in the international comics industry. Gerry also mentioned that most of the art team who worked in producing Superior and Super Crooks which includes Sunny Gho is back with the latest Marvel Now title for the jade giant.

Mark Millar Invades Summer Komikon 2012!

05.27.2012 – Summer Komikon 2012 had a few surprises up its sleeve and one of them was Mark Millar. The Scotsman from Ireland has landed at the Bayanihan Center where the annual Komiks Convention was held. It was the first time a well known foreign comic artist visited the Filipino Pop Culture rich in folklores not known to other countries. Millar impressively read a script in “tagalog” in front of the audience.

01.13.2010 - Gerry Alanguilan is widely knwon in the comic industry the ippine and International scene, but this one coems to a surprise how he shock the Japanese society with his current relelvance not as a comic book artists, but something out of the left field is really something different. Such genius was featured recently in one of those local TV shows in the land of the rising sun. He has been gaining quite a lot of viewership in his You Tube channel, and something for the seriousness to break the ice that has become a very popular Meme. Gerry is knwon as "Komikero" and he will be having a comic book signing event this month. This will be on January 29 at 9PM to January 30 at 2AM.
