Trese: Stories from the Diabolical!

11.03.2013 – Halloween may be over but the adventures of Alexandra Trese never stop as long as the city is safe for everyone. But usually the story doesn’t focus on Ms. Trese as most of the readers may come to think.

There are other interesting characters and one peculiar individual by the name of Hank Sparrow come to mind. In reality he is based on a real person named Hank Palenzuela. Most people would identify him as Captain Jack Sparrow… Yes that drunken pirate.

10.21.2013 – Trese is gaining ground to be one of the most popular series in the modern era of Filipino Komiks being a police procedural with supernatural elements based from local folklore retold for the this generation is something you might not possible heard of.

The series started with thirteen chapters divided in three volumes that were originally sold individually as photo copied pages stapled together. Currently Visprint Inc. published the stories in book format on its way to its sixth volume...

07.04.2013 – Manila Noir is a compiled of featured stories by Lourd de Veyra, Gina Apostol, F.H. Batacan, Jose Dalisay, Eric Gamalinda, Angelo R. Lacuesta, R. Zamora Linmark, Rosario Cruz-Lucero, Sabina Murray, Jonas Vitman, Marianne Villanueva, Lysley Tenorio, Budjette Tan & Kajo Baldisimo.



It’s part of Akashic Books an award winning series of original noir anthologies comprised of all-new stories set in the Philippine’s capital city. It is edited by Fil-American fictionist and the 2011 Asian American Writer’s Workshop Lifetime Achievement Awardee in Jessica Hagedorn.

Trese: Midnight Tribunal Book Launch & Signing!

11.10.2012 – Trese the creation of Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo has had a steadily growing cult following. Slowly the series is getting noticed in the pop culture mainstream.

They grow in numbers with every book released and the series progress with each adventure that featuring our heroine in Alexandra Trese and the Kambals (twins).

The latest Trese graphic novel in the Midnight Tribunal had an intimate launch at NBS Best Sellers branch in Robinsons Galleria earlier.
