WB Games and Netherrealm Studios reveal "Injustice: Gods Among Us"!

The 2012 edition of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is just around the corner, and before we get exposed to one of the biggest annual video game events ever, Mortal Kombat creators Netherrealm Studios and WB Games pair up to bring us a new fighting game that's based on the DC Universe and its characters... with a twist: "Injustice: Gods Among Us".

Paired together with the new game's reveal is an announcement trailer that's sure to scintillate the taste buds of avid DC Comics fans looking for a new fighting game featuring iterations of the World's Finest and the Justice League, so click the play button and get a taste of things to come!

DC officially announces "Before Watchmen"

In a move that is undoubtedly both controversial and exciting, DC Entertainment has officially announced  a new prequel series to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' seminal comic book series work "WATCHMEN". Unified under the banner entitled "BEFORE WATCHMEN", seven prequel miniseries will be released that will tell tales that exist within the Watchmen universe, and will feature the likes of J. Michael Straczynski, Andy Kubert, Brian Azzarello, and Darwyn Cooke.

The titles to be released are as follows:

RORSCHACH (4 issues) – Writer: Brian Azzarello. Artist: Lee Bermejo 


MINUTEMEN (6 issues) – Writer/Artist: Darwyn Cooke 


COMEDIAN (6 issues) – Writer: Brian Azzarello. Artist: J.G. Jones 


DR. MANHATTAN (4 issues) – Writer: J. Michael Straczynski. Artist: Adam Hughes 


NITE OWL (4 issues) – Writer: J. Michael Straczynski. Artists: Andy and Joe Kubert 


OZYMANDIAS (6 issues) – Writer: Len Wein. Artist: Jae Lee 


SILK SPECTRE (4 issues) – Writer: Darwyn Cooke. Artist: Amanda Conner

There will also be a back up story in the form of CURSE OF THE CRIMSON CORSAIR, which runs for two-pages at the end of every issue released. After all is said and done, a single issue called BEFORE WATCHMEN: EPILOGUE will be released, and will also feature a Crimson Corsair back up. R.I.P Jerry Robinson, creator of The Joker

Sad news just hit today, and for those who love all things Batman and everything related to his greatest arch-nemesis, The Joker, it's time to pause for a moment and remember a true legend in the world of comics.

Jerry Robinson, the man who is credited for the creation of The Clown Prince of Crime, passed away in his sleep at the age of 89 this Thursday, December 8. Blogsite NYC Graphic Novelists was the first to break the story, and soon many other comic book websites, including Newsarama and Comic Book Resources, followed with reports soon after.

DC The New 52: Justice League #1 gets 5th Printing!

Looks like the relaunch paid off after all!

Via their own blog The Source, DC Comics has announced that Justice League #1, penned by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Jim Lee, has once again gone back to press, and will be now known as the first comic book in The New 52 line to receive five printings. With the fourth issue due just before the holidays in December, this marks a milestone event in relation to the publication's decision to relaunch their comic line, and their flagship team-up book featuring the likes of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman has done immensely well.
