| 07.28.2013 – The Global Premiere Day for Smurfs 2 culminated with the event last June 22, 2013 with the Global Smurfs Day.
The highly promoted sequel from Sony Pictures Animated brought out the fans that grew up from Peyo’s creation. Smurfs 2 had a special screening earlier today and Columbia Pictures the local distributor for the film went all the way to make it something to celebrate having a Smurfs mascot and having cinema 4 in SM Mall of Asia decorated in baby blue and white. |
There was a big LCD screen playing the trailers and asking everyone to post their images via social media on Instagram with the hashtag #SMURFS2BlueCarpet to show the world that the Philippines is celebrating this event.
If you where unaware and happened to pass by the event at the SM Mall of Asia cinema and saw a giant blue Smurf taking photos with the people around check out the images…

The event has partners with Mellow Touch 94.7 FM and McDonald’s who has released the Happy Meal toys which were also given away to those who were invited to see the film first hand.
Snack Time just like the previous movie promotions have the exclusive special Smurfs 2 tumblers by Snap Co LLC with three character designs to collect as well as a bucket for your popcorn when you see the film.
Smurfs 2 opens in 3D on August 7, 2013 in Philippine cinemas nationwide from Sony Animation Studios to be distributed by Columbia Pictures Philippines!
