| In just a few days The Batman is heading to cinemas, but in case you’re unaware the merchandise and collectibles started appearing in retail space since the start of January 2022 with LEGO.
Though things started to ramp up when the action figure toy line for the 4” inch has started being advertised in some parts of Asia. For the Philippines, The Batman toyline by Spin Masters has been teased through online selling sites like Lazada and Shopee from the start of February 2022, and slowly but surely they start to show up. |
They start appearing at Richprime Global Inc’s very own stores first with their online shop in Kids Company, and then trickled down to Kids Depot and now with Ollie & Co stores. Spin Masters, the master license holder for the 4-inch scale figures has been producing the DC Heroes Unite range of action figures, vehicles, and playsets for the past 2-3 years has been subtle with the release until toy reviews started appearing online with little less to no details about the toyline itself.
Besides this set is two figures that would probably worth taking a second look, namely the Hellbat Gold Edition, since its original release last year the standard coloured version was the most sought after in the initial wave that introduced the DC Multiverse by McFarlane Toys.
Ollie & Co Glorietta store have received their case assortments a week earlier during the time Richwell was teasing the product online. Actually, the toys has been sitting in storage for almost two months in some markets due to having been given an embargo not to have it displayed until the 1st of January 2022. For Ollie & Co, once they received their case assortment they immediately sold out on the major figures.
Beside the mainline for the 4-inch scale figures, Spin Masters also produced 12-inch and 6-inch scale figures. But these larger scale assortment doesn’t have multiple articulation though the details in both of these scales have greatly improved compared to the previews DC figures they have put out in the past.
The Batman 4-Inch Wave 1
No doubt Spin Masters produced this range of figures of the 4-inch scale, which is aimed at younger kids. But most of them were attracting adult collectors that bough most of the characters from the Wave 1 assortment. The figure case assortment consist of six figures that includes 3 basic Batman and three individual character variants. These individual figures are Wingsuit Batman, Penguin, and Selina Kyle.
Out of the individual figures presented in the case assortment Selina Kyle was the must have as the only female character in this Wave 1, and the Penguin is the second one that gets sold out. There’s two versions of Batman in this assortment, and the most common in the basic range is Batman with an extra armor as part of the accessory, while the Wingsuit Batman can only be found per case assortment as list below as follows:

The Batmobile | 4-inch & 12 inch scale
There have been two size scale of The Batmobile, which Spin Masters has produced and have two different price point. The most prominent and sought after of the two is the one based on the 4-inch scale assortment that features light and sounds, while the other (not in photo) is the 12-inch scale.
Both comes with a Batman figure though based on product comparison they are the same figures that were also sold individually minus the accessories for the 4-inch scale. The 12-inch version is the same one you will find sold individually. Price listing is included below:

The Batman | 12-Inch & 6-Inch Scale
While the 4-inch scale figure assortment has more premium in terms of articulation with some details in how it was produced these larger scale versions have on ly 5-Points of Articulation (5POA) limited to having movement on the arms and legs for both 12-inch and 6-inch assortments.
The 6-inch assortment is probably the most affordable among the varying size scale of The Batman and it’s the only figure in comparison to the 12-inch, which have both Batman and Selina Kyle. On top of those two that also included The Batmobile that was made for this scale, which is enormous that’s for the younger kids. Below is the price point listings and currently available:
