Sights & Highlights: Foldabots Toy Book 6 Launch!

11.10.2013 – Foldabots Toy Book 6 was launched earlier today at the Atrium of Robinsons Magnolia. Jomike Tejido the creator of the Toy Book series that was compiled from its monthly appearance on K-Zone magazine was on-hand to celebrate the event. Summit Media that publishes K-Zone and the Toy Books where present to assist the kids on the activities that was set for the event. The grand prize winner for the original Foldabot character took home the biggest prize!

Throwback: Foldabots Toy Book!

11.07.2013 – In the anticipation for the launching of Foldabots Toy Book 6, here’s a throwback that takes back how the series was introduced. JoMike Tejido who grew up learning about paper folding (Origami) introduced Foldabots in K-Zone Magazine. The first character featured was Buhawi who turns into the Philippine Eagle. Now the artwork appears that the character is a robot.

Foldabots Toy Book 6 Launch Announced!

11.02.2013 – Foldabots is from the creative mind of JoMike Tejido who was fascinated about Transformers and paper folding (Origami in Japanese) at a young age. The Foldabots first appeared originally in K-Zone. The concept inspired from JoMike’s childhood interest in robots changing into vehicles and animals had a cult following among young boys. Now on its sixth Toybook compilation Foldabots will be released with a double cover!

Robotars Custom Toy Show 2 Hops to the World!

07.27.2012 – The Robotars Custom Toy Show is the sequel to the 2010 launch of the original designer resin creation by JoMike Tejido. There are two color versions of the resin figurine of Robot Tarsiers made which comes in blank and the standard appearance in brown. It is an independently-produced resin figure and an urban art toy based on tarsiers described as tiny primates a threatened species found in the Philippines represented for the love of urban art.

Robotars 2 Custom Toy Show This July 2012!

06.19.2012 – Catch JoMike Tejido in his Live Art collaboration with Anjo Bolarda and Quiccs Maiquez in the sequel last year’s Custom Toy Show for Robotars! This time it’s a three way live art featuring the original Filipino creation by JoMike Tejido known for his innovative creation on Foldabots!



Robotars are resin made figure which started as a paper craft toy in 2008. During its toy launch he collaborated with 10 visual artists who customized their own Robotars who shown their various styles in the field of illustration design and painting.

Foldabots Fourth Book Launch!

10.22.2011 – Foldabots is a combination of paper folding (origami) and innovative creation of robots that actually transform from vehicles and animals from JoMike Tejido. The first appearance of Foldabots was from an issue of the local publication of K-Zone magazine sometime in 2007. Four book launches later Foldabots makes kid’s imagination become innovative. Earlier today we caught up with JoMike’s fourth launch Foldabots at Powerbooks compiling the characters that regularly appeared month on K-Zone into one book.
