R.I.P Michael Gough.:(

Sad news hit the entertainment and Bat-fan community, as news from movie sites like Screen Rant and IGN report that famed British actor Michael Gough, well known to movie audiences as the man who played Alfred Pennyworth in the first four Batman movies, passed away at the age of 94. He was one of only two actors to ever reprise their role in all four Batman films (the other being the late and great Pat Hingle, who played Commissioner Gordon), and Gough's passing leaves me saddened, simply because the Alfred I first came to know in most forms of media is now gone. Besides the movies, he also reprised the role in the radio/ tape adaptation of Batman: Knightfall, which I had the opportunity to listen to as a kid. Besides Alfred, Michael Gough was well known for a lot of roles, including many British horror films like Dracula and recurring appearances television shows like Doctor Who and The Avengers. He'll truly be missed, and I'll always be remembered as that faithful and steadfast butler who gave sound advice to his master in times of crisis and moral dilemma, such as this deleted scene in Batman Forever, where Bruce Wayne (played by Val Kilmer) is trying to reconcile his life as a crime fighter and being together with the woman he loves, Dr. Chase Meridian (played by Nicole Kidman).

Rest In Peace, Michael Gough, and thanks for the memories, Good Sir!:(
