07.17.2012 – As the San Diego Comic-Con International winds down another much awaited event is going to happen in two months this time we shift our attention to Asia.
Recently Gerry Alanguilan who was one of the speakers at the recently concluded Komikon Indieket has announced his participation in the upcoming Singapore Toys, Games, and Comic Convention. Where East meets West happens on September 1 and 2, 2012 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. |
Gerry Alanguilan known as the Komikero doesn’t need any further introduction who recently worked with Leinil Yu and Mark Millar for Supercrooks who was nominated for an Eisner Award for best new graphic album in 2011. He’s heading to the red dot island as one of the honorary guests for this year’s STGCC.
A registered architect in the Philippines who has written, drawn, and published his own comic books such as Wasted, Humanis Rex!, Timawa, Where Bold Stars Go To Die and Elmer. He has inked US comics for Marvel and DC which includes Superman: Birthright, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Ultimate Avengers, Superior, and currently Supercrooks.
The laguna-based comic book artist is not only known for his works in the industry but he also has passion for video blogging which STGCC forgot to mention in his description. It must be his other identity but he’s popular now that Graham Norton took notice…
