06.28.2013 – The longest running Philippine men’s magazine in FHM has had illustrious Filipino women who has graced the cover since. It was introduced in March 2000 with Alicia Silverstone on the cover then a Filipino actress named Sunshine Cruz was introduced.
So what’s with the subject that brings us to FHM? Olivia Munn who now appears on The News Room used to be the geekiest girl who went to SDCC in Leia Organa’s slave girl outfit appeared on the covers of another men’s magazine.
She was considered the “IT” girl of nerdome but none have captured that kind of level with Alodia Gosiengfiao. She has been on everyone’s radar since she came to the geek convention scene in 2003 and the rest as shall we say history. No cosplayer would break into the scene with the likes of Alodia.
Summit Media publishing the company that published FHM Philippines has already teased their readers who would be the next cover girl for July 2013.
There was even a news about it online that has hyping up to build anticipation on is going to be that girl. Of course the video that showed a few days ago had a giveaway having a clip revealing that she was talent playing the piano.
After 10 years being in the spotlight Alodia is here to stay love or hate her she will be a fixture in the entertainment scene that other cosplayers trying to emulate which would definitely be impossible if not sometimes a bad thing that can be observed in this realm.
For someone who already have the finance and a family connected to the entertainment industry long before she had put on those colorful wigs and wielded fictional weapons Alodia is now breaking the walls into the pop mainstream through the FHM magazine cover which will be available this weekend.
Expect a scheduled signing the following weekend and the regular monthly guys who lined up each month for an autograph expect a lot more competition since Alodia has a huge following and she’s not coming alone to be there waiting for you.
The magazine also includes the 100 Sexiest Women in the World that has Filipina singer Roxanne Barceo aka Roxee B on the cover of that insert featuring the hottest Filipinas making the list for this year.
