SDCC 2013: Arrow Season 2 Preview!

07.21.2013 – Reveal after big reveals have been unveiled today at the DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. panel gave the fans a frenzied reaction to moving forward with the future in the movie department that of course now a common knowledge.

There also “little things that matter” which could build up the reputation of the company not only in the movies but also in the small screen.

This pertains to television which you might still be catching wind by now that The WB is building up Arrow one of those shows.

The first season was anything but spectacular and the show fits in the void Smallville has left in 2011. Oliver Quinn might be unfamiliar to some who have not seen Arrow but Warner TV Asia is catching up with introducing the series that has been in hiatus until the second season kicks in.

For this year’s Comic-Con DC Entertainment is not about big surprises but also fun revelations to their shows on television and as promised Arrow’s season 2 has something to look forward to just watch…

Besides having some surprise announcements that Michael Jai White (Spawn, The Dark Knight) and Kevin Alejandro (Southland, True Blood, Golden Boy) as Bronze Tiger & Sebastian Blood, the hero Oliver Queen (series star Stephen Amell) will have his work cut out for him when he returns to Starling City for the second season of The CW’s #1 series Arrow.

Ballroom 20 was not as wild as the other panels that have the unveilings but fans learned of two new DC Comics characters coming to Starling City. Executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg introduced the two actors which will be appearing in the upcoming episodes of the series.

Michael Jai White plays Ben Turner, a claw-wielding assassin better known as Bronze Tiger, who’s well known to DC Comics fans as a member of both the League of Assassins and the Suicide Squad. On Arrow, he’ll form an unholy alliance with fan-favorite villain China White (played by Kelly Hu), another well-established character in the DC Comics universe.

Kevin Alejandro plays Sebastian Blood. Drawing inspiration from the iconic New Teen Titans nemesis Brother Blood, Sebastian is an alderman who rises to power in the wake of the earthquake that devastated Starling City in Arrow’s first-season finale. Blood’s “man-of-the-people” popularity instantly places him at odds with Oliver Queen, whose family he blames for the quake.

MichaelJai White has been known for New Line Cinema’s Spawn and did voice work as DC Comics villain Doomsday in the animated Justice League as well as one of the villains having appeared in The Dark Knight alongside the late Heath Ledger’s Joker.

Kevin Alejandro is better known for playing cops and detectives (Southland, Golden Boy. But his character Jesus Velasquez paid the ultimate price for practicing witchcraft in his role in True Blood.
