A "CHAPPiE" Moment with Hugh Jackman!

03.07.2015 – “CHAPPiE” is the sci-fi adventure featuring Sharlto Copley as the robot who gains artificial intelligence with a stellar cast that also includes Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), Sigourney Weaver (Aliens) which helmed by Neill Blomkamp (Elysium).

This also has Hugh Jackman (Real Steele) in his antagonist role who recently was interviewed by Bogart The Explorer of PaperBug TV that’s gone viral online...

Director Neill Blomkamp recently helmed “District 9” and “Elysium” includes “CHAPPiE” to the sci-fi list of originals that deals that’s set in the dark future. Of course the future is far from the concept of artificial intelligence that deals with society. There will always be pros and cons against accepting it. There will be individuals who will be against it and one of the characters who will be portraying of the protagonists is none other than Hugh Jackman.

Jackman recently spoke with Bogart in an exclusive interview talking about his role that take some notes from previous actors who portrayed villain roles like Allan Rickman in the original Die Hard or Javier Bardem in the recent Bond film in Skyfall to give a valid point of the argument regarding the subject in “CHAPPiE.”

Visually you’ll not notice that “CHAPPiE” with its special affects as Hugh Jackman compliments Neill Blomkamp for his hand on with science fiction properties that he has made. Jackman adds “it was easy” which he admits he had fun on the set when they where shooting the film.

For those unfamiliar with Hugh Jackman’s previous science fiction films he also starred in another robot-centric film not as a protagonist but the lead star in Real Steele in 2011. So it comes to familiarity that Jackman likes to work with robots too besides being a mutant for more than a decade.

In-between the interview Bogart had the best conversation with Jackman pointing out a bootleg action figure of the Wolverine having some resemblance. But the inaccuracy of the eyebrows where Jackman had enjoyed the humor and Bogart would rather portray the blue character with a chickenpox. Towards the end of the interview Bogart invited the PaperBug TV crew to have a “Chaffie” (Selfie with a CHAPPiE star) together with Hugh Jackman where the actor obliged which he enjoyed.

“CHAPPiE” is already being shown in Philippine cinemas since March 5th also available in IMAX Cinema distributed locally by Columbia Pictures PH!

"CHAPPiE already showing in Philippine cinemas on IMAX and 2D cinemas distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.
