Sunday Toy Bazaar | Memorable Weekend

03.12.2019 – Last Sunday was another “Toy Bazaar” at Arkipelago and it seems this Sunday Pop-Up Marketplace seems to be not slowing down. The recent community event has more vendors than the usual past Sundays before. Besides the usual toy finds there are also apparel and clothing that you’ll find it surprising to see at this event.

What’s eyecatching in this most recent event is the amount of old toys that you don’t usually see in Greenhills. Clearly, the growing community that has something to do with toys is not yet fully explored when you talk about the hobby.

There’s not much to say that this Sunday event that happened was more of a gathering not only by the sellers themselves but the walk-in individuals who stumbled upon this place. Arkipelago is not hard to find but those who are not familiar of the streets of Makati they’ll probably get lost.

Early afternoon peak in with a group of local law enforcements taking a break just happened to enter the venue like giddy school boys reminiscing their childhood thinking what they had when they were young at the height of 1990s nostalgia you’ll probably find some of them in one of the vendor’s table.

The fun factor is striking conversations that are also a novelty now where all are discussed on social media. There’s nothing like physical interaction to build that interest and you find it with these visitors. You walk in wondering what will get your attention is it the action figures or that cool superhero-themed cap that might be a good match to your shirt when you see Captain Marvel?

When all you wanted was that action figure, which you never had the chance to get when it was sold at your local flea market. But then again this might be your chance to do so although you missed last Sunday here are some photos to look forward to next Sunday below:

There are upcoming toy-related events this month but they are more properly geared to a large crowd, but if you happen to look forward to a quiet one without the need of paying the entrance or getting too much elbow room this might be the place to spend your Sunday before you end up filing deadlines at work or a ton of other errands to do at the office.

It is now a novelty to that you see such small gathering in a unknown location for most of the general public. But supporting these little efforts preserve the best way to interact with like-minded hobbyist. It’s not entirely commercialized but it sure makes the community closer with these types of gatherings and it is rarely you see ever being organized so if you have the time drop by Arkipelago where this Sunday Toy Bazaar happens.

You’ll never get lost just search Google and char the course or see the map location HERE!
