Playmobil City Action | Fire Brigade Special

01.23.2020 – There are many types of Fire Rescue services that acclimates to the environment or location of where they are assigned. The most common Firefighters are assigned in the City, which you can find ubiquitous on the planet.

Then there are fire rescue teams in rural areas and then in the airports that you’ll find in these places. But how about the ones in critical situations when the regular fire fighter is dealing with more harmful fires that deal with extreme temperatures?

Playmobil, a German toy manufacturer has produced the Fire Brigade Special.

Firefighting is primarily to extinguish hazardous fires that threaten life, property and the environment as well as to rescue people and animals from dangerous situations. Over time the skilled Firefighters are not just emergency crews that put out fire. The complexity of modern, industrialized life has created an increase in the skills needed in firefighting technology.

With that they are considered real life heroes beside Law Enforcers namely the Police. Playmobil has produced several variations of these types of firefighters through their sets in the City Action range that also include different types of Police. But it is the firefighters in this theme that stands out basing in from the real world counterparts down to the gear being used produced in their toy line.

Fire Brigade Special

In 2015/2016 Playmobil produced the Fire Brigade Special set no. 5367 containing 18 pieces, which includes a Playmo Figure in its advance firefighting gear that deals with hazardous materials. This is an uncommon version of a firefighter all wrapped up with protective gear that deals with dangerous chemicals aside from putting out a fire.

It features a free rolling red tank that you assemble connecting the rubber hose to a long plastic nozzle. Beside the firefighting equipment it also features three flame pieces to simulate the fire and a black drum with a removable covers.

The Playmo Figure has a removable helmet with protective mask and solid orange back piece that is hallow. This also includes a translucent stand that is rarely available to a Playmobil set. When you open the box the Playmo Figure is already pre-assembled that you can also remove the hairpiece and that’s not about.

City Action Fireman

The Fire Brigade Special is not really used for urban firefighting, but for special situations that deals with hazardous chemical that started the fire. In the real world they are the last resort for extreme danger due to its protective gear. The suite stands out due to the bright orange color.

Comparing it to the other types of firemen released by Playmobil its more about dealing a specific type of fire with that protective gear. It is possible in the future that the German toy manufacturer would reuse this mold for special teams that deals with radiations, but it will depend of on a specific set that aligns with the theme.

Basically, this is the only theme you’ll find this special Playmo Figure with its firefighting equipment. Though it is possible that Playmobil can reproduce this type of figure that handles nuclear radiations or dangerous chemicals colored in thos familiar hazard suites that deal with nuclear meltdowns.

Overall this set is no longer common on Philippine retail as this one was available going back to 2015, but due to the increasing popularity of the Playmobil brand it became rare nowadays to find one. It might not have the most accessories or have the most comfortable looking gear for a firefighting equipment.

But this set is a standout for those who focus only in collecting the Firefighter theme under the City Action series from Playmobil. It is unique if you can find one to compliment your ever growing firefighting crew as in some countries this might no longer be available and it is possible that Playmobil discontinued this set.

Playmobil City Action 5367 Fire Brigade Special is retailed at ₱ 699.75 Pesos [** $ 18.66 AUD | $ 14.44 USD], which is available at Toy Kingdom distributed by Bankee Traiding, Inc. For more about Playmobil Community in the Philippines LIKE Pinoymobil on Facebook!
