08.13.2016 – Originally titled in international markets as “A Turtle’s Tale 2: Sammy’s Escape from Paradise” is headed to Philippine cinemas known as "Sammy 2: Escape from Paradise." The sequel to the popular “A Turtle’s Tale”, which features the heroic turtle named Sammy, is set for another adventure with his good friend Ray. Based on an original story by Ben Stassen and Domonic Paris, “Sammy 2: Escape from Paradise” sees Sammy and Rey, leatherback turtles and friends forever, enjoying the water and sand, shepherding new hatchlings Ricky and Ella out to sea. Suddenly, a poacher swoops in and ships them off to be part of a spectacular aquarium show for tourists in Dubai. Trapped in The Tank, an underwater aquarium, they must hatch a plan to escape and reunite with their grandkids, Ricky and Ella, and protect them from the dangers of the ocean. But they’ll have to get past Big D and his dopey thugs first. With the help of some unlikely friends, Sammy and Ray fin that when you work together, anything is possible!
