| 06.05.2012 – The art jousting is a contact sport that first emerged in the high middle ages.
It was originally based on military used of the lance in heavy Calvary. It became a sport in the late middle ages and it became popular with the nobility in both England and Germany throughout the 16th century. Jousting is a martial game between two horsemen and using lances as a tournament. |
The object of battle is to aim is to strike the opponent with a lance while riding towards him at high speed, if possible breaking the lance on the opponent’s shield or amour; rarely will you be able to knock the rider from its horse.
There are so much stories of this legendary sport that History Channel had presented this as a reality show dedicated to this deadly game in Full Metal Jousting which airs tonight at 9PM (Philippine Time).
It was first aired in North America last February 12, 2012 and Asian viewers will get a chance to watch this show which premieres tonight and if you have not seen this check out one of the teaser episodes.
