07.27.2012 – A few weeks ago Noel Pascual and AJ Bernardo changed the way a bunch of Call Center Agents turned into Crime Fighting adventurers or so we thought they were when they rolled out the very first issue of the “Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents.”
Four friends based and inspired from real people that Noel Pascual who worked with in his previous job as a… Call Center Agent in one of the well-known contact centers in Makati City two years ago. We spoke to Noel during Indieket regarding the inspiration that pursued his interest in writing about four young people who fought creatures of the night in one of their team buildings.
There’s nothing but praises for this dynamic duo in bringing humour in a suspense adventure genre which was labelled as an ongoing socio political graphic novel.
They released the first issue in Komikon 2011 but they never got the same appreciation that regular komiks readers got their attention during the very first Indieket. It took them two issues for everyone to take notice and now everyone anticipates for the conclusion of its first story arc which picked up in the second issue with a very attractive cover art from Bernardo.
We skimmed the pages of issue #2 and all we can say is the art is spectacular with a very dark tone in those inks that Bernardo brings suspense and great expression of each character.
If you haven’t picked up the very first issue please do (now available at Comic Odyssey) because even though it’s not an origin or introduction of the fabulous four composed of Noel, Sandra, Charlie, and Koontz it’s something to get a feel of their first real adventure.
Skipping away in giving out the story we’re just giving you a look at the artwork AJ Bernardo has done in bringing Noel Pascual with full throttle action. We don’t have any comparison or anything resembling Bernardo’s artwork all we can say is there’s a “Wow” factor that literally got our eye on every detail of one panel to another as the story rolls over in each page.
It was definitely a treat to see these fine young gentlemen create something new, fresh, and familiar but unique out of the ordinary. It will take us three months for Komikon 2012 before we can get our hands on the third issue but the wait is good for a huge anticipation.
The series is not entirely in English but surely if this gets out in the international scene we hope to see the compilation in that language. The graphic novel won’t be this unique and very much original if not for being true Filipino but who knows this series is still in its early stages of its growth. But they are already getting positive feedback from all those people who bought every copy and hope they continue to amaze us. We're sure the Call Center industry won’t mind tocheck this out and enjoy this one.
The Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents is published under the Kowtow Comics independent publication by Noel Pascual and AJ Bernardo.

I remember those days in the late 90's even if we are in Bicol things like that really happens. As things are going good and suddenly a huge blackout for almost an hour and when the power is back the episode is no longer there and what you would see is the irritating news where in that day you can't really to. LoL
