Battle of the Giants in Pacific Rim!

12.14.2012 – Pacific Rim takes gigantic robots and monsters to the next level which was inspired by previous animation and movies. From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

The film first got its first teaser with the poster being given away during the San Diego Comic Con International (SDCC) last July and the release of this trailer definitely caught a lot of attention due to the action that was quite a tease!

The premise of the film definitely gives you an idea what Pacific Rim is all about that has something worth looking out for when the film gets to be show in the summer of 2013.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Looks like we got one more giant-related film aside from the upcoming Godzilla that’s also in the works from Warner Bros. and the teaser trailer definitely will find it more interesting aside from the press photos released by the studio.

The film stars Charlie Hunnam (TV’s “Sons of Anarchy”), Idris Elba (“Thor”), Rinko Kikuchi (“The Brothers Bloom”), Charlie Day (“Horrible Bosses”), and Ron Perlman (the “Hellboy” films). The ensemble cast also includes Max Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Diego Klattenhoff, and Brad William Henke.

Pacific Rim is produced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures which will be slated to be released sometime in July 2013. For more news and updates LIKE the Warner Bros. Pictures (Philippines) on Facebook!
